MUSO (Part I)

Hmmm... Not MUSUH la..

It's Malaysian University Symphony Orchestra, organized by the local universities. This function was held to gather all music -talented local uni students for an intensive 2-weeks training course before the actual performance. And I'm lucky enough to be one of the participants (Yippie ~~ :D)

So, me and the other 3 members from UTM set off to the training in UPM, where we were settled down in the students hostel; me and Fong in a room.

Me in the room

Speaking about Fong, let's gossip about her a bit.... She is a very special girl.. How special?? She's only 3 years older than me, but d currently studying phD in Mathematics! Not only that, she's also very pro in violin (Kenny: and multimeter i suppose? :p) And the most important is......... she eats like a snail... like me!! So that makes a very important point here : i get to have a very good companion in this training camp..

So, soon we prepared for the practice. It sure is INTENSIVE training.

8.00 - 10.00 section practice
10.00 - 10.30 rest
10.30 - 12.30 practice
12.30 - 2.30 lunch
2.30 - 4.30 practice again
4.30 - 8.30 leisure + dinner + whatever u like
8.30 - 10.30 combine practice

Daytime is spent for section practice (6 sections altogether :high strings, low strings, woodwind, saxes, brass and percussion) I'm playing flute --> woodwind; while Fong's in high strings.

There are more than 15 songs to practice within a short period, moreover there are some rumors say that those weak ones will be kicked out to reduce the so we really need to practice hard.

How hard we practice?
-- I blow flute until my lips crack
-- Fong play violin until neck got cramp (haha...)

.... to be continued
